Thanks for coming out, and glad you had a great time! I really appreciate your writeup, it helps us understand what was valuable about Manifest -- and is great marketing for next year too ;)
(And there were more godful folks in attendance than you might have realized -- a group of ~10 of us went to Catholic mass on Sunday morning. Come join us next time!)
It was such a pleasure to meet you! I think Manifest was the final push I needed to start my own Substack. So hyped to get more involved with the Rats.
Reading this I wish I had gone, I'll have to do so next year. Also that song has what might be my favorite line in any song, "How strange it is to be anything at all".
It was nice to meet you in person. You’re quite clever. :)
Thanks! You too!
“are you Bentham’s Bulldog?” hell yeah I'm pretty sure I was the first person to ask you that, right after the opening ceramony
Matthew🫡
You were one of my favorite people I met!
I asked Scott that question! And am now a subscriber haha
Oh cool! I unfortunately missed that part of the q&a, but just heard about it from others.

Thanks for hosting it! It was really wonderful! You're doing it again next year? Yay!
Nice
I hope as you continue to write that you find more ways to occasionally weave sentimentality into your essays (without compromising them).

Sounds enjoyable! Love the neutral milk hotel lyrics at the start too.
Sounds fun! Might go myself next year
That would be tons of fun!
This Yarvin?
Neo-Monarchism
Neo-Reactionism
Dark Enlightenment
Anti-Egalitarianism
Anti-Democracy
Anti-Liberalism
Neocameralism
And what say you?
I'm against those things!
So who are you standing next to?
Richard Hanania
I thought he was referring to the person in the middle (i.e. standing right next to).
I was referring to both. The guy next to me was a neoreactionary.
I think it's a serious mistake to associate with Richard Hanania. I'm not sure he'd even stand next to you if you were a black man.
Huge fomo!
