Come Argue About Anthropics Or God
I'm doing a YouTube livestream and you're all free to join it!
At 2:00 PST, I’ll be doing a YouTube live stream call/in show thingy https://www.youtube.com/@deliberationunderidealcond5105/videos. You can find it here, and the video will have the link to join. Come call in and argue about anthropics and God if you think I’m wrong about those things. Hope to see you there!
If you’re not sure if you disagree, here’s a good place to start—in it I lay out my views about both God and anthropics:
Man, I just missed it : (
I had a thought:
I basically accept the arguments for Gods existence, but I'm still not convinced by moral realism. And deciding what morality is doesn't seem like something God could do.
Imagine creating our universe twice but in one version suffering is a terminal good, and in one ist's a terminal bad. That doesn't really seem like something God would be able to do.
So, maybe God created the universe, and just like humans, he kind of likes beauty, and happiness and life etc. but it's not actually objectively better than nothing existing...
It would be weird, but seems possible.
