Two Announcements!

The first of the announcements: I recently hosted a debate between
and about utilitarianism vs deontology. Sadly, Daniel is super reasonable, so there was a lot of agreeing and little fireworks. In any case, I recommend the conversation as a masterclass in what philosophical dialogue is supposed to look like.
Second: I’m in LA and thinking of organizing a get-together for blog readers. If you would be interested in possibly attending, please let me know at this link or leave a comment. Please, if you think you might attend, let me know—I’ll only do this if there are a decent number of people who think they’ll show up. Should be lots of fun, and definitely think about showing up even if you don’t find yourself to be the typical blog reader!
Possible activities include playing games and/or just chatting—perhaps in a park somewhere!
Darn, I was just in LA visiting family but left yesterday. What about virtual meetups? Last year you had briefly started a monthly video chat for subscribers - I would definitely attend if you brought that back!
I am about an hour and 40 minutes from LA and will be in LA later this month.
