In the last video stream, I forgot to link to the shrimp fundraiser—oops—so here’s the link.
In this one, I chatted with Henry Shevlin who is the Associate Director at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence, at Cambridge. Most of his research is consciousness-related, with a particular focus on AI. Here’s his phil papers profile and here is his podcast with the wonderful Dan Williams. He and I, in this conversation, discussed shrimp welfare, odds of consciousness in different organisms, whether AI could be conscious, whether non-conscious agency suffices for moral patienthood, dualism vs physicalism, and much more. Hope you enjoy!
