Here's a way to defend Land Acknowledgments:

1. Land was illegitimately stolen from native americans

2. It's neither feasible nor desirable to boot current inhabitants of the land

3. Therefore something else is owed to the descendants of the original inhabitants (i.e. reparations of some sort)

4. In order to pay reparations, we need to convince a sufficiently large majority that we should

5. In order to convince a sufficiently large majority, we should make 1 common knowledge

6. In order to make 1 common knowledge, we need land acknowledgments

Conclusion: We should have land acknowledgments
